Ballroom Dance

I love to watch dancing, all kind of dances.

Since we move to England, I am attracted by BBC weekend live show –strictly come dancing—for five years already.

The show has had for six years (I miss first series). Every year it starts in October, and ends up a week before the Christmas. The show is on in the evenings every Saturday and Sunday that have become my favorite time of TV entertainment. I have become so attached to it that I have to make sure to come home in time to watch the show if I go out in the weekends.

My favorite couple in this series is Rachel (UK pop star) and Vincent (an Italian professional dancer from a dancing family). I really wish them to win this series. Rachel is a good dancer, but I like them to win really because of Vincent, because his Argentina Tango.

Vincent Simone and his professional partner Flavia Cacace are best known of their Tango. They have been dancing together for 11 years, and won numerous championships, including UK Professional Ten Dance, UK Professional Showdance, UK Argentine and World Argentine Tango Show…. Their Tango is so passionate, so elegant and so beautiful in the same time. You can have a glimpse of their tango from this clip. I have watched it over and over again. So many times I can’t even remember. I believe everybody will like it too.

I have learnt a lot of things through the show. First, never know there are so many types of ballroom dances:

Tango

Swing

American Smooth and Jive

Waltz and Viennese Waltz

Foxtrot

Cha Cha

Rumba

Samba

Salsa

Harsha

Pasodoble

I have also got a bit more knowledge about makeup, costume and music behind the dances. It is very refreshing and satisfactory.

The show is hosted by a legendary English TV host Bruce Forsythia and his partner Tess. It is hardly to believe that Forsythia has reached his 80, and still can manage this exciting show, and dance.
